Souad Kirama a community activist started crying on a live video on Facebook after she was abused just because she is Muslim.

Souad Kirama, 51, said she was in a cafe having coffee with her friends when a group of girls attacked her, she was punched and called a f**king terrorist.

The gang of Girls spat in the food she was eating and shouted at her ‘go back where you came from.’

The alleged incident happened on Tuesday in Brooklyn Bridge, New York while other people in the café just watched it all happen.

After the attack Souad went live on Facebook and said: “People were just standing there watching me being beaten up and being called a “f****** terrorist.

“They were just having their coffee like nothing was happening. Never in my life have I seen this kind of violence and aggressiveness.

“I made sure to report it as a hate crime. We cannot accept this.”

An employee at the café described the attack as ‘very quick.’

Police were called to the scene and they classed the attack as a hate crime

“‘It is intolerable to see so many New Yorkers do nothing in the face of this sort of hatred.

“At this moment, when Muslim New Yorkers are enduring a historic surge in hate crimes, we must all stand up when we see our neighbours being attacked,” said Council on American-Islamic Relations’ legal director Albert Fox Cahn.
