Manzoor Hassan, 36, groomed an underage girl for sex. When they regularly started having sex he started to pimp her out to other men.

Leed Crown Court was told the girl was only 14 when Mazoor turned her into a prostitute.

Judge Mushtaq Khokar sentenced him to 7 years and 6 months behind bars.

Manzoor was aware of the girl’s age but he still used her. He trapped the girl by giving her attention, drinks and drugs.

He then told her he did not have enough money to take her on a holiday so he persuaded her to work as a prostitute and earn money.

The judge told him: “She became sexualised at a very early age, not just by you but by what you did made her do on the streets of Huddersfield.”

Police became suspicious of Manzoor’s behaviour in 2004 but the girl did not speak against him then.

It was 2014 when she revealed what had happened to her in her childhood, which led to the arrest of Manzoor.

Manzoor of Lockwood pleaded guilty to 2 counts of indecent assault and manipulating a girl to turn into prostitute and living on her earnings in 2003 to 2004.

Prosecutor Michael Morley said the girl was already using drugs at school so she was very vulnerable when Manzoor met her.

Manzoor groomed her and started having regular sex with her and preparing her for the worse.

He persuaded her to go Alder Street “Red Light area” as a prostitute. She had 2 clients on her first night but the number of clients reached to 5 in the following nights.

The complainant said in her victim impact statement at the time she was blind “to the dreadful things he made me do.”

She added: “This man has stripped me of my childhood.”
