Gurvinder Mann of Slough has been jailed for shoplifting, threatening a person with blade.

He was sentenced to jail for two years and ten months at Reading Crown Court.

He pleaded guilty to 2 counts of threatening a person with blade, 3 counts of shoplifting and 1 count of affray.

Gurvinder went to a Tesco in Wellington on 3 July 2017 and stole 4 bottles of alcohol, when security tried to stop him he threatened them with a Blade.

Second time he went to Sainsbury store on Uxbridge  Road on 22 July 2017  and stole 4 bottles of alcohol, when security tried to stop him he threatened them with a Blade.

On 7 August 2017, Gurvinder again went to the same Sainsbury store and tried to steal 4 bottles of alcohol when security tried to stop him he threatened them with a screwdriver.

Investigating officer PC Joshua Webber, of the Slough Investigation Hub, said: “This conviction shows how seriously Thames Valley Police takes offences of this nature.

“Knife crime is not acceptable and Thames Valley Police will always thoroughly investigate those who seek to carry out such crimes and protect security staff who are just carrying out their duty and should not be subjected to threats.”
